Overview
01 — Context

Redefining how fans engage with live sports

Intuit Dome is set to become one of the most advanced sports arenas in the world. This project merges cutting-edge technology, user-centered design, and a passion for sports to redefine how fans engage with live entertainment.

Designing for a large-scale venue required maintaining consistency across multiple digital products while tailoring each experience to different user needs. With over 24 designers working across streams, building alignment was essential, but far from simple.

My Role
02 — Contribution

Fan app, staff app, design system

As a Product Designer, I supported both the fan-facing mobile app and the iPad app used by venue staff, designing ticketing flows tailored to each context. I was also a core member of the design system team, helping enable faster collaboration and a consistent experience across all platforms.

Principles
03 — Design principles

Four pillars that shaped every decision

01
Passionate, not loud

Visual rhythm and hierarchy channel sports fandom without overwhelming the UI.

02
Authentic, not literal

LA and Inglewood reflected through nuanced cues, avoiding clichés.

03
Inclusive, not generic

Accessibility and flexibility prioritized without compromising personality.

04
Innovative, not confusing

Familiar patterns reimagined to balance delight with clarity.

A seamless, personalized experience for fans, guests, and staff, designed to be efficient, user-focused, and welcoming.

Process
Principles were defined collaboratively with the full design team at the start of the project and revisited at each design review.
Ticketing
04 — Core feature

Buy, manage, transfer, upgrade

For the Intuit Dome app, a key priority was making ticket purchase and management feel effortless, whether for a Clippers game, a concert, or parking. I designed a flexible ticketing flow that adapts to different event types and user needs, integrating with Ticketmaster for both in app purchases and secure external checkout.

Ticket management flows allow fans to view, transfer, assign, or upgrade tickets, making it easy to share seats or handle last minute changes during live events.

Integration
Ticketmaster API integration required designing for latency states and edge cases — high-traffic game nights with thousands of concurrent users.
System
05 — Design system

One source of truth for 24+ designers

To support the complexity and scale of the project, I co-created 2 design systems for both the fan mobile app and the staff iPad app, establishing reusable components and a single source of truth across platforms.

This improved consistency, reduced duplication, and accelerated workflows, enabling designers to work more efficiently across multiple product areas.
