Designing for a large scale sports and entertainment venue required maintaining consistency across multiple digital products while tailoring each experience to very different user needs. With over 24 designers working across various streams, building alignment and a unified experience was essential but far from simple.

Challenge

My role

As a Senior Visual Designer, I supported both the fan facing mobile app and the iPad app used by venue staff designing ticketing flows tailored to each context. I was also a core member of the design system team, helping enable faster collaboration and a consistent experience across all platforms.

Design Principles

Passionate, not loud

Visual rhythm and thoughtful hierarchy are used to channel the intensity of sports and music fandom without overwhelming the interface.

Authentic, not literal

Inspiration from LA and Inglewood is reflected through nuanced visual cues avoiding clichés and focusing on tone, texture, and character.

Inclusive, not generic

Accessibility, representation, and flexibility are prioritized to support a wide range of users, without compromising on personality or boldness.

Innovative, not confusing

Familiar patterns are reimagined to introduce fresh interactions that enhance usability balancing delight with clarity and ease of use.

A seamless personalized experience for Intuit Dome’s fans, guests, and staff designed
to be efficient, user focused, and welcoming.

Ticketing

The visual design of the ticketing journey was refined to ensure each step from seat selection to payment was clean, accessible, and easy to navigate. The flow was optimized for responsiveness and usability, even during high traffic moments, delivering a seamless experience across all devices.

A Seamless Ticketing Experience for Every Fan

For the Intuit Dome app, one of the biggest priorities was to make buying and managing tickets feel effortless whether for a Clippers game, a concert, or even parking.

I design a flexible ticketing flow that could adapt to different types of events and users, all while integrating with Ticketmaster’s systems. Some purchases happened directly inside the app, while others used Ticketmaster’s secure checkout.

I also designed the experience for managing tickets where fans can view, transfer, assign, or upgrade them. These flows were optimized to feel seamless and empowering, whether someone is sharing seats with friends or making last minute changes before a game.

By prioritizing clarity, motion, and ease of use, the result is a ticketing experience that feels intuitive, responsive, and aligned with the fast-paced energy of live events.

Design Systems

To support the complexity and scale of the project, I helped build robust design systems for both the fan app and the staff iPad app. This involved creating, refining, and documenting reusable components such as buttons, input fields, modals, and layouts serving as a single source of truth for each platform.

These systems ensured visual consistency, reduced duplicated effort, and accelerated the design and development process, empowering over 24 designers to work efficiently across different product areas.
